ICE Forever Small Sili Quartz 000123 Women’s Watch
A rainbow of colours, a variety of trendy designs and patterns is what sets apart the ICE watch. Since its launch in 2007, the brand has grown to become one of the most popular fashion watch brands. The trendy designs and the bright colour combinations are a sight to behold – there’s definitely something unique about the Ice watch.
My encounter with Ice watches began when a dear friend gifted me the ICE Glam BRG.U.S.14 Quartz 000980 for my birthday last year. It was a brilliantly designed timepiece, so trendy and attractive that I became a complete fan of the brand. I read up a bit to know more about the ICE brand, the huge array of glamorous timepieces from ICE had me hooked – so much so that I wanted to have one more ICE timepiece for my collection.
This time round, I chose the Ice Forever Small Sili Quartz 000123 Women’s Watch. It is a marvellous timepiece that goes with any outfit. Although the actual design of the watch is simple, it gives off a cool, sophisticated look – a black polyamide case and black dial are the high-points of this piece. It has a unidirectional rotating bezel with indices marked in white. The minute and hour hands are filled with luminous material that glows in the dark. The circular dial is covered with a mineral glass and features a date window at the 3 o’clock position.
The arresting features of this watch is the face itself which is clearly readable even in poor light. Bold hour indices in white are an advantage and add more legibility to the dial. The red seconds hand lends a tiny flash of colour to the otherwise neutral dial face.
ICE uses the best quality materials to build the watches. The ICE Forever Small Sili Quartz features a mineral crystal that is scratch resistant. The quartz movement ticking away inside keeps accurate time. Black silicon strap with stainless steel buckle clasp is an extremely comfortable fit. ICE 000123 is water resistant to 100 meters; add to that the screw down solid stainless-steel case back, so it’s perfectly fine for a trip to the beach or a dip in the pool.
The construction of the ICE000123is robust and just the right size for my wrist, also gives a luxurious feel when I wear it. Despite the chunky look, this watch is extremely lightweight. At 35mm case diameter, this is a women’s watch, though it could also be classified as a unisex piece.
